The Good, The Bad, The Awesome!

First off, I had in interesting weekend so far. I caught a fairly nasty virus that landed me with a migraine, severe spine pain and airway constriction. When I finally got someone to drive me to the hospital, I registered a 9/10 on the pain scale, which warranted some pretty awesome IV painkillers. It's been two days, and I'm still lo00opy from whatever they gave me, plus I still feel like shit.

But, as a reborn optimist I spent this time to get onto Newegg and score myself a sweet new computer. It's got 2 gb ram, Amd 2.Ghz dual core, foxconn mobo, and a Geforce 8500 GPU. :D. With a case, HDD and Power supply it came out to $305.99.
Pretty kick ass if I may say so myself.
This is also the end to multi-day Apophysis renders which really put a damper on my relationship with that program.
OMG *cough cough* I'm so freakin' happy!

And once again these emoticons are insufficient, there should be one for "I just coughed out a piece of my lung, but I'm ecstatic!"

well, that just sounds nasty man.

i thought my month long cold was bad... but rating 9/10 on the pain scale sure blows it out of the sky.

good to be optimistic about something though. :D

It really hurt. I must have looked like an idiot in the hospital because I had a scarf wrapped around my head to keep the light out...
The pain sucked, but whatever IV fluid they gave me really helped lol...

Yup, this new PC is really fast. Loads windblows in about 15-20 seconds. No more multi-day Apophysis renders!

Yup, but no more! Last render took about 3 minutes, where my old comp would have taken about 6 hours... I really am loving the advancement of technology!
